Native Plants through a Modern Lens

Fences

Fence with alternating horizontal slats gives privacy, but allows sunlight to penetrate at an angle. The morning sun can shine straight through this modern fence in San Francisco. A redwood fence comes alive in the evening with a series of low-voltage lights.

We prefer minimalist fences with some degree of transparency to sunlight.  See longer article here.
